Where I’ve Been… & What’s New

Hey, friends, long time no see! Lately, things have been a bit quiet over here, and I wanted to pull back the curtain and fill you in. Life has been lifing (LOL), but that’s no excuse at all. I have been a bit busier than expected between juggling interior design and event planning projects (my day-to-day joy!) and unexpected personal developments, so I needed a moment to pause and recalibrate. But guess what? That downtime wasn’t wasted, it sparked something exciting: incorporating event planning service in addition to numerous freelance services. Think of it as a beautiful story awaiting to be told. Why event planning, you ask? Because I realized how much joy I find in creating not just beautiful spaces, but memorable experiences. I’ve always naturally planned events throughout college and even after. I guess I didn’t realize how much of an asset this could be to my business, so why not add it on.

Bringing Design & Events Together

While I was taking a break, it wasn’t all chaos behind the scenes; God’s blessings were unfolding before my eyes! I spent time deep-diving into event design, refining my approach so the aesthetic feels just like Blossom and Bloom: elevated yet inviting. I wanted to shift my focus to how I can attract new clients. l landed on my infamous statement, Your Story Shapes Your Design. The aha moment I didn’t think I needed.

Now, allow me to walk you through this. Imagine your next party or gathering with the same layered styling I’d use on a living room, bedroom, man cave, etc., think mood boards, curated palettes, and that effortless luxe feel you already love. I want to ensure that every step along the way is personable to YOU.

Here’s what event planning looks like behind the scenes:

• Mood board meets guest list (yes, really)
• Centerpieces that aren’t just pretty but statement pieces
• Ambience that feels as good as it looks

The list goes on from here, a million and one moving parts that I bet you didn’t even know played a part in how you see an event. Honestly, this is what I love. From the spark of an idea to transforming that mere thought into a beautiful story, curated by you.

Why I’m Sharing This Now

Because I missed this space and I missed you. 💖 My blog isn’t just where I share design inspo, it’s where I connect, laugh, and grow alongside you. I am showcasing ME on a personal level beyond an aesthetically pleasing social media post. I am learning and adjusting accordingly. This space is created for expression, inspiration, and new possibilities beyond. Now, I must give a quick disclaimer, some of my previous blogs may not have the same tone, BUT this is why we took some time off to figure out the direction we were heading towards.

Being MIA wasn’t planned, but it gave me the space to evolve. And now? I’m back and more inspired than ever. I figured out the direction I am heading toward with Blossom and Bloom. I am super excited and anxious to step into this new direction. So, what’s next, you may ask? Think of design as the foundation, and event planning as the beautiful icing on top, whether it’s styling a kitchen in addition to curating an unforgettable celebration. We are going to make something beautiful, timeless, and memorable together.
